Position summary
Reporting to the production supervisor, the foreman coordinates daily production operations according to the established planning. Specifically, he coordinates the activities of his team in order to achieve the objectives of production, costs, quality, delivery and health and safety.
Main responsibilities
Ensure that production, quality and delivery requirements are met according to the established daily and weekly schedule.
Collaborate on improving workplace safety, identifying accident hazards, and determining corrective measures
Ensure the implementation of the company’s policies (hours worked, vacations, absenteeism, training, etc.) related to the management of its work team.
To encourage the participation of staff under its supervision and to maintain a working atmosphere conducive to the achievement of the Department’s objectives through respect, communication, teamwork and positive reinforcement. Identify operational issues and propose alternative solutions that could be put in place to improve productivity, reduce costs and improve the quality of the parts produced.
Participate, support and continue efforts in the continuous improvement of his shift.
Maintain a favourable working atmosphere with colleagues and other departments through respect, communication, teamwork and positive reinforcement to achieve the objectives of the plant.
Ensure the cleanliness of the plant (5S) on its work shift.
