CMM Quality technician

DESCRIPTION

Under the supervision of the workshop supervisor, the Metrology specialist supports project managers with external and internal clients for everything related to template design and Tolerancing (geometric and linear). It also performs the measurement of parts with the CMM or various metrology tools, and analyzes the data collected in order to qualify the parts produced by the internal customers. Finally, it performs the design of certain gauges or measuring tools.

DESCRIPTION OF SKILLS

• Good knowledge of MS-Office Tools (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Very good knowledge in metrology and Tolerancing (geometric and linear).
• Strong knowledge of 3D design software (e.g. CATIA, SolidWorks) and statistical analysis software (e.g. Minitab).
• Bilingual (French/English).

REQUIREMENTS

• Diploma of collegial studies (DEC) in mechanical engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment of a minimum of 3 years in metrology, including the use and programming of a CMM. Significant eperience in essential design.
